3 years ago, on 5 July 2021, we at A Gentlemanly Sport started posting to our wargaming blog!
Our first post was a Gaslands battle report.
Since then, we have published 133 posts, excluding this one.
We expanded posting pictures of our battle reports to creating our first tutorials. Easy to build fences were our first subjects. David did the fantasy gates, whereas I made the modern / sci-fi fences. Besides longer terrain and painting tutorials, we introduced a new sub format: the Hobby Shortcuts. In these, we try to give you short tips and ideas for your crafting, painting, and gaming projects.
At one point in time, we decided to try our hands at reviewing hobby-related stuff we like. Since we try out new products, as well as old and proven ones, we do our best to tell what we like and what we don’t like about them. Though, we mostly like the products we review.
In case you haven’t noticed, we’ve also got a slowly growing Resources page, where we post all kinds of content we create and references, articles, media to other sources we recommend.
One of the plans for the future, is to further develop this resources page to provide your with more useful downloads as well as inspiring articles to read on other blogs and platforms. We’d like to further open up the discussions and to work on our commenting area. Finally, we’re tinkering with a special kind of content to offer you periodically.
Cheers to 3 years of our wargaming blog!
Summer break
Summer is upon us, schools are closing, and the diligent working class hero looks forward to a well-deserved rest. Like every year, we take a break from posting and replenish our bateries for another season of carnage, warmongering, casting magic, and, of course, shaping worlds of our own.
With that, we declare our annual summer break until September 15. If we feel the need to publish something, we will, of course, do that. Otherwise, make sure to check the official A Gentlemanly Sport Instagram profile, where we post regularly.
Happy summer!
